Oprah Visits Bank For The First Time In 29 Years, Deposits $2 Million For Fun
If you were to predict where you might spot Oprah Winfrey out and about, what would your guess be? One might guess, an exclusive A-list soirée, nearby at her lavish Maui home, within the Harpo headquarters in Chicago, among other possibilities. But would you ever expect to see the 63-year-old media mogul at the bank?
Recently, on an episode of Ellen DeGeneres's YouTube segment, "Show Me More Show," Winfrey shares that she decided to visit a physical bank for the first time since 1988.
"I just wanted to," she explained to DeGeneres. "I just wanted to do it. I stood in line – just to do it!"
And get this: She was there to deposit a $2 million check – a drop in the bucket for the billionaire who is worth more than $3 billion.
Not an ATM frequenter either, Winfrey revealed that she also does not know her PIN number.
Once trips to the bank to deposit a $2 million check become a fun excursion to be done every few decades, you can certainly say you've made it.
