Counting On star Jana Duggar’s alleged boyfriend, Caleb Williams, recently made headlines for sexually abusing a minor, and now Williams’ brother is also in the hot seat for similar charges.

This past summer, police in Rogers, Ark. charged Williams’ older brother, Joshua, for assault and battery on a child.

According to Radar Online, court records indicate that Joshua’s wife caught him assaulting a boy and making him perform exercise tasks as a form of punishment.

This included forcing the boy, who was younger than 10 years old, to do jumping jacks, planks, push-ups, and other similar exercises. Joshua also allegedly held the boy’s head under water for a few minutes as payback for what the child did to a dog.

“Joshua was trying to make [the boy] hold his breath under water, so he could make him feel like the puppy felt,” the records state.

As if that was not enough, the boy claims that Joshua hit him on multiple occasions. He even used a wooden dowel to beat the child, which left bruises and marks on his body.

The disturbing news comes amid Caleb’s sexual abuse scandal. Prosecutors believe Caleb sexually assaulted a minor when she was between 13 and 16 years old. He plead not guilty to the charges and is currently awaiting trial.

The assaults happened over a three year span, between 2015 and 2018.

As Counting On fans are well aware, Jana was rumored to have started courting Caleb two years ago. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughter denied the dating rumors and claims they are just friends.

Caleb also shot down the rumors, though he insists that he has known Jana for over 20 years.

The abuse scandal is particularly embarrassing for the Duggar family, whose show, 19 Kids and Counting, was cancelled in the wake of Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal a few years ago.

The Duggars have not commented on Caleb and Joshua’s criminal behavior. Needless to say, any hope of Caleb and Jana courting is definitely shattered.
